Can pods molt?

Just curious- I have a new nano and they came in on the live rock. I see quite a few but I do see a few empty shells and since they are a crusteacan I was wondering if they can molt.

good ?. im not too sure that they do molt. i personally have never seen any molts, but like you said they are inverts, and well inverts do molt. hmmm. got me thinking now. :thinking:

Yes, they definitely molt and quite often I might add.

how big of a shell are you talking about? If I'm not mistaken it would be very tedious to find a molt or a shell.

Sometimes you'll see them floating in the tank, or getting blown around by the powerheads.
