can snails crawl out??

I found one in my skimmer (berlin HO) and i have no clue how it got there. The outlets dont even touch the water..
There was no way he was getting through the 1/8 inch holes for the intake so I guess he went on a journey. lol
I figure that if he doesnt like it in there... he got in so he can get out... It cant hurt anything.

I haven't had a snail crawl out of the water yet, but I did had one that crawl onto my Aqua C Remora's return flow to eat algae and stuff then crawled right back into the tank after he was done. :happyfish

I have had snails crawl out of my freshwater tank and leave a trail of slime across the floor.

Yep, they are always in my overflow box and sometimes the necarrious snails are where my return pump is located. Now how they got through the filter media and such...who knows

Must have been a wild ride down the intake pipe
