cant tell if its a feather duster or a pollup, it looks like it has a hard case at the base of the rock, like feather dusters do, but its small like a pollup, anyone know what it is? TIA

looks like a common button polyp to me

do they use tubes like feather dusters? because it is in one abouut 1/2 to 3/4" long and it looks hard and white, it just popped up today, so i dont know how big it really is yet.

It's a species of button polyp. It's definitaly not any type of feather duster.

i'd have to agree with button polyp, in future just turn off the lights, you see the polyp retract its a polyp, feather dusters are filter feeders and function independ of lighting conditions
