cabin, not sure the exact question you're asking. if you're wondering about baserock, it is a cheaper alternative to filling the tank with live rock. you should be able to get baserock for $1 per pound. add some live rock on top, and in a few months, the baserock will become live rock.
if you are looking for good baserock, google "hi rocks". also, if you have a limestone/coquina pit in your area, this works well.

It helps if you actually ask a question, Pontis has done the best he can with the info given!

We didnt know you had another post.
You should have commented that you had another post that you would like people to answer questions on. We aren't mind readers. Calm down.

I will admit, it's confusing that you started a COMPLETELY new thread. We don't know what you're talking about unless you be specific b/c we're not mind-readers. We didn't know you were referring to a different thread you already posted. Threads being "near" each other don't mean anything.
If you wanted a straight answer to your question, you should have posted back in your original thread.
People on message boards do give smart arse answers, but MOST of the time, they are willing to help as well. In return for their help, you have to be patient.
If you don't feel that your question is going to be answered in a timely fashion, then "bump" the thread back to the top, by posting in your thread "bump"....to add, "timely" here means give somebody a chance to read it and answer it. If it's not answered in 30 seconds, don't get bent. Give people time.

:notsure: perhaps a sticky explaining the term "bump" is in order. it seems there's a heckuva lot of newer members posting multiples of the same question when they don't get an immediate answer.
it may be good to keep in mind that the help on this forum is voluntary. noone should be getting all worked up if their post isn't answered 24/7. it also makes it a pain to even look at the forums when 50% of the posts are the exact same person & problem.
anyways, i think base rock has been explained already in this post. otherwise just use the simple function called "search" that every website seems to have.
