can these 2 be in the tank together

Black Fin Niger trigger and brown banded cat shark? My shark is about 13-15in. and the niger that I would like to add to the tank is about 3-5in.

The general opinion is that triggers will go after your shark. Particularly his eyes. But as I've never owned a shark nor a trigger, I don't have any actual experience either way.

while the niger is about the most peacfull of the triggers . I wouldn't try it .

Are you refferring to the Hawaiian Black trigger (scientific name "Niger")?
Or the actual Onodius Niger ("red tooth" trigger)?

Either way triggers should defenitely not be in a shark tank, espicaly with a bethnic shark like a bamboo.

Yeah got to agree - benthic(such as the bamboo) shark & and a trigger - BAD COMBINATION.
