Ok, so all of my levels are back to zero. My salinity is high, but I will add water (without salt) for that.
SG: 1.027
Amm: 0
Trites: 0
Trates: 0
I am in the middle of a Diatom (algae) bloom. Anything I can do for it? I have 6 snails that are working Overtime on it. Anything I can do to help them?
Water change? More snails? Anything?
My wife is not very impressed with my new hobby at this point.

What type of lighting are you using? The algae bloom is another stage towards a healthy mature tank. As for your wife...I'd share the pictures of my mine seahorses, that should do the trick
We women are suckers for tiny cute little animals

When was your last water change and how much?
What type and how long are your lights on?
If you can post a picture of the tank...I could better diagnose a solution if I could see what stage of growth you algae is at.
What type of tank are you planning? Reef, Fish? Seahorse?Fish only?
Do be shy about questions and pics...the more pics and info the sooner you can get your tank up and running

Thanks. The tank pics are several responsed above.
T5 lighting 4x54 on 12 hours per day.
Last water change was Saturday - 16 gallons.
Tank Plans: Reef tank with fish, inverts and soft corals.
Algae is increasing. Brown sploches on the glass and rocks. It is getting worse.

I would definately go with more snails. The little nasarius snails seem to be the best in my tank, my astreas were pathetic.... I would go to your lfs and pick up enough to have at least 30 in a 55. Hermit crabs help too....

The tank looks great
If those pictures above are most resent pictures
Your new tank looks tons better than most newbies

My dwarf seahorse tank is going through a similar cycle. Even though the sand and rocks have been cycled, the 24 hours the LR and LS spent boxed up, and the tank is going through a quick 2 week recycle.
One comment I have is your lighting. If you're planning to keep a reef tank you're going need a lot more watts...does your fixture have metal halides? With out MH, you're limited to medium and low light corals only. I have a outer orbit lighting combo 48" 560 watt: 2-150 watt HQI; 2-130 watt 6 luanr for my 90. By the looks of things when you get home your tank should be ready for it's first occupants. Couple of button polyps or zoos, a few mushrooms...and a clown fish or two.
