long time ago i was at a fish store, and i saw this fish that would gobble down sand and let it out from his gils. Would you guys know the name of that fish, i find them really cool and would want to get one.
I have one that's like 6-7 inches that i got off someone. it doesnt look quite like the diamond goby but does the same things... sifting sand barricading himself in a cave etc. I still have tons of critters in my sand bed(#1 CC).
He's my fav
I have a Diamond Goby, they are sweet fish. They are sand shifters, not sand sifters, to my knowledge. They eat prepared foods. They do like to move the sand around, which is a good thing.

There are a number of fish that do this - especially many of the sleeper gobies.
Valenciennea sp. gobies often called Sleeper Gobies ( includeing the Diamond Goby, aka Prawn, Maiden, Orange Spotted, ect. ect. ) real name = Valenciennea puellaris are sifters, they also shift to build burrows. For most, these species of fish are difficult to keep long term. https://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11...2_4_61_75.html
