at the moment i have a 24 gallon nano cube and have been battling cyano for a while now and everwhere i read on how to get rid of it tells me to increase my flow. Ive been thinking about this for a while now anyway since my button polyps arent opening and people told me to place them in more direct flow so has anyone changed the pump on their nano cube and if so can you give me the name and make of it? thanks, answer are appreciated :help:

I ,ve read where JBJ24 nanocube owners have up graded to a more powerful pump,I my self have set up a aquapod 24 gal.an the pump is rated at around 295gph,I think the Maxijet1200 isabout the same gph, an should be a easy up grade.

I am looking at the MaxiJet 1200 for my 24 gal AquaPod. Is there a lot of work to install it? I am new to the whole saltwater tank thing, so I dont know much about the products. Someone mentioned I needed to increase the flow in my tank and suggested I check out the MaxiJet 1200 powerhead. Will this fit in the back compartment in the tank, if so, how will it work back there to increase the flow? Sorry if this is a dumb question!

First of all, there are no dumb questions!!!

The installation of a maxijet1200 is as easy as it gets. The only work is getting the tube to fit over the outlet o the pump. It is a bit tight, try running the tube under hot water.
First things first:
remove the hood (you can replace the pump without doing this, but removing and install the power cords are tricky).
unplug the power supply for the current pump.
pull 90 deg connector out of the output at the top of chamber three.
pull out the pump.
Remove the tubing form the old pump and soak in very hot water for a few minutes
connect the pump end of the tubing to the new pump and zip tie
Place the new pump into chamber three and reconnect the 90 deg fitting. Make sure the power supply cord is under the hood.
Hope this helps,
bob

I got the 24 gallon JBJ nano, and I just replaced the stock pump with the MaxiJet 1200. It was easy as Bob talks about. I bought two of them for the just in case one goes out.
Good Luck
