I was needing to know if i could put 2 juvenille differing fish to get her?
i was planning on getting the angel first to let the blue face establish dominance of the tank, and add the juvenille clown trigger later being slightly smaller than the blue face angel.
i was wanting to add them to a 125 gallon tank, along with amybe a foxface, and some kind of grouper, maybe a niger trigger, and some kind of puffer.
worse case scenerio, i would at least like to have the clown trigg and the blue face angel at the least, and would like to know how i could and if i could go about doing this.
i just figure the more fish i add the better so the trigger dont just pic on the angel if he pics at all.
plus i dont wanna just have 2 fish in the big tank i would like at least 3 or 4
im open for suggestions also
thanks ahead of time

Clown triggers have a well deserved reputation for aggression, often killing other fish once they grow large enough. A good size blue face is a pretty imposing fish but no match for the trigger if it came to an all out war. With the niger, puffer, foxface, a blueface would dominate the tank and actually large angels do best when they are the alpha fish. Personally I'd skip the clown trigger. A juvenile would be okay for awhile, but as they grow, the aggression often takes center stage. I agree with not wanting to have just two fish in the tank, but to have a community, select species that will get along to a degree.

thanks alot NICE TRY, you really sound like you know your stuff ive studied some of your posts and i can see your on top of your game and i really admire and respect that cause im almost above my novicetry in this hobby and im am really getting dedicated to it, or should i say addicted???
i dont have my marine fish book handy, and im not trying to second guess you, but dosent thew blue face grow slightly larger than the clown trigger???
and then again on the other hand dont all clown triggs have diff personalities, so is it in the slighttess bit possible that they both could survive together, if other fish some how interviene????
im not at all against your advice of going with the fox, niger puff, and blue face, you just dont understand how bad ive wanted a clown trigger since ive seen one in person at the pet store!!!
it was with like 3 or 4 other fish and not even considering them and it was almost full size, i hope if i do get the fish mine will be as timid as this one was they were only in like a 80 gallon tank too!!!
also ive put my 125 gallon next to my 75 gallon reef tank caddy corner, so alot of the time my aggresive fish will try to attact the clown fish in the reef tank, hope that takes there attention off each other for a while.
as im sure your mind hasnt changed have i at least brought your knowledgable saltwater mind to a glimmer of hope????
thanks ahead of time!!!!

You're correct in that all fish have different temperaments, even triggers. There are folks who keep them for many years w/o problems. By in large these are in very big tanks where crowding is not an issue. Crowd several large fish into a marginal tank and it's almost a given that something is going to give. Given the triggers potential for lethal aggression, this would be the fish that would go berserk. Actually, the clown trigger will grow larger than the blueface. The angel would hit 13-15 inches and the trigger closer to 20, in a big enough tank. You rarely see these types of sizes in captive fish simply because we don't provide the environment for them to allow for full growth.
Again, you can try it. A lot of myths have been dispelled in this hobby by people trying things that they were told not too. If you go into it with your eyes wide open and are aware of the risks, and are prepared to remove the trigger if you see aggression (providing it's not too late), then go for it. CT's are great fish, in the right system (usually hundreds of gallons with other large pushy fish.)
Good luck.
