Can you run just MH and moon lights?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone uses just MH on their tanks? I have a 120g and was looking at buying 500w MH w/ lunars. I have a PC with daylight and actinics now and could run them both at the same time unless its okay to do just MH.
Any input will be appreciated.

I haven't had any problems doing it.
I have recently though added VHO actinic blues and LEDs to my tank I was running only MH on before.

I run just 2x250's MH with only moonlights. I love them. It is a 48" Sunpod by Current. Everything is growing nicely and looks of MH is awsome.

yes you can I have before but I llike the MH supplemented with atinic bulbs to bring out the glow in the corals more..

I have a 120 and only run 2 x 250 MH with XM 20k hqi de bulbs and moonlight thats all i run and love it .

If you add actinics do you just add another light system to your tank? So, would you have a MH system and then like a PC or T5 for actinic?
