Can you stain an old deck with out major sanding?

Your right though, its not as inexpensive sanding and restaining but it looks awesome and if you have vinyl windows it matches very well. It will add to your resale value more so your investment would be returned.

I just did my deck. The wood was looking very "gray" and faded. We used a powerwasher, then used a bucket of Toner from Home Depot that was a stain/sealant all in one. Looked good as new when done.
