candy cane coral question

I know growth rate will depend on things like lighting and other conditions but how fast should candy cane coral grow? the heads are getting larger but i was wondering how fast the stem (base) grow? I bought a smaller piece and just trying to get an estimate on growth rate to know where to place it in the tank. Any and all advise would be great.

This coral benefits greatly from nightly spot feeding.
If you are diligent about feeding and keep it in high flow and medium to strong light it will grow much more quickly.
I have a green caulastrea (candy cane coral) that i got as a 1 head frag approximately one year ago and its now at 7 heads. That being said, i only had power compacts until very recently and i do not spot feed my tank on a nightly basis.

That is some good information. So how long did the stems get. I do feed it at night about twice a week. i wait until the feeders are out and then do it. you would not happen to have any pictures of it would you?

The top picture is of the Frag i was talking about.
The second picture is of a few different caulastreas that are in my tank. They all seem to have different stem structures. Some are short and clustered together while others are lengthy and seperated.
