Candy Cane ??????

I just got a candy cane yesterday and i notice that the tentacals come out only at night time is this normal?

Somewhat... When I feed my tank they will slowly open but not as open when the lights go out. When the lights go out I begin to feed my candy canes and sun corals.

given a mature tank and plenty of lighting the trumpets will thrive off of photosynthesis and not need to be target fed. target feeding will increase gorwth as well as size though....

i never feed mine food. it has split from 5 heads to well over 50 in less than 1 year.
