my domino damsel and velvet neon damsel
have been nibbleing away at my yellow tail damsel's fins my 55 gallon tank it not ready for fish yet they are in the 30 what should i do to keep my fish alive for the night.

I watched the exact thing happen when I cycled my first tank. Same fish in the same rolls.
The eatee is doomed. The eaters are the most aggressive things you can find in the "less than the size of a quarter" catagory.
Run to the store, and WalMart has them, and get a fry net that hangs at the top of the tank. Lizard cages with vent openings all over it do well, too. Seclude it there.
However, this situation will not change until that fish is dead, regardless of the tank they're in, IMO.

You can go the egg crate way.
Got to love the egg crate. :D
Make yourself a divider with the egg crate if you have any laying around or get yourself one of those fry hatchers like TimO suggested.
But unfortunately you won't have any luck in the 55 either. :nope: Sorry
