First and foremost..thanks for all your guys's responses in my other threads... We just bought a new tank and starting from scratch...Now which one of these filters do you recommend for a 56 gallon saltwater tank? So far we purchased a Hydor Korala 3 pump, a Rena 200 watt heater, and a Coralife needle Wheel Skimmer....
Oh ya...if a canister says its good for up to 55 gallons would our tank qualify for that since its 1 gallon off?

I have a cascade 700 on my 54G.....I like it cause it came with the spray flow bar, and I really like that. (and it has shut off valves) I also find it easy to take apart....I do not use all the media in it though....I have some ceramic rings in the and that's it.
I have a cascade 1500 on my 225G...USE FOR FLOW ONLY
and I have a Marineland 350 on my 225G ...use for flow only
I also have a Marineland 350 on my 46G Fresh tank....I find this to be a little more difficult to clean, and I had to buy shut off valves for it since it did not come with any.
I know nothing about the Eheim.
ALSO...BUY BIGGER.....

Personally I would get a filter that is rated at least DOUBLE your tank size. I also would lean towards Eheim, they can be $$$ but are well worth it
