does live rock need supplements to thrive, will the lights that come with the aquarium be enough, how long do lights need to stay on??? never in my wildest dreams would i thought i would EVER be asking questions bout rocks.....:scared:

You're not asking about the rocks. You're asking about the stuff that grows on the rocks, therefore you're normal. Good lighting will most certainly help with the growth of corraline algae and some other goodies, but flow is important too. Do you intend to keep corals in the future? That will affect the amount of time and the type of lighting you will need.

i'm not keeping any corals.. fish only... i want to make sure i get the color and the little creepycrawly life that comes in live rock... question issssssssssss do i need to add any supplements to my water??? i hope not, my friends will never let me heaar the end of it, if i have to spend money on..........rocks???

Your salt mix and weekly 10% water changes should be all the nutrients your rock needs. Better lighting is necessary for good coraline algae growth.
