cant find any info on a coral

I was thinking about getting what my LFS calls a green tipped giant polyp. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they easy to care for?
A few of the guys there say it should do well in my tank. I have a 5 gal hex tank, with common clown, and 6 lined wrasse. Also 5 red mushroom coral, 6 blue legs, pepperment shrip and 2 snails. Also I have a 10,000k 50/50 light

only think i can think of would be a green polyped toadstool.
dont you think a sixline and clown are little big for a 5 gallon?

yeah, i'm more or less maxed out on fish, I had a few more at one point, and all of my parameters have been normal. I orginally started with marine fish with a clown and some live rock in a 1/2 gal cube, that my LFS sell's as a "nemo tank".
One thing though and I should bring this up in the disease forum. My clown developed a white sore on its mouth about a week ago. It doesnt look like any disease I have seen. It almos looks like its an injury. ANy ideas

What you've said clearly indicates that your LFS is interested in NOTHING more than getting your money. Their advice and judgement clearly leaves something to be desired.
I would not give them another dime, because they will sell nearly anything, clearly. They have helped you overstocked your tank (I have 6 line ins a 45g tank and it covers it real fast), and are not inclined to tell you anything is not right for you.
A half gallon cube? There should be NO FISH AT ALL in a half gallon cube. I hope that was a typo :scared:
I would post your clown injury in the disease and treatment. Definitely post all of your water parameters. What is "perfect" or "normal" can actually be highly stressful...especially if your LFS has told you it was normal.

Yeah, a 1/2 gal. Came with a lb of live rock and a small filter. I had it for a few months had no problems with it. Then decided to go to a 5 gal about 6 months ago, only problem I had was an ich break Otherwise all the inverts and fish are doing well.
However, I took your advise and went to a New LFS, and I think your right about the first one. The new LFS said it might be a fungus. But if the fish is eating and shows no sign of distress, just let it be.
