can't leave the hobby

I just moved and had to take down my 55 gal setup. I don't have room in my new place for a big tank, so I was thinking about getting some seahorses. (By the way, I still have the 55 gallon tank if anyone is interested in it). What size tank do I need, I mean, what is the smallest size tank they can survive in? What do they eat? Are they hard to keep? Is there anything I need to know about them (they aren't poisonous or anything are they?)?
Any ideas would be great.

They can be difficult to keep. They need time, effort and above all, knowledge. IMO a 20gal will work fine depeding on what kind of horses you want to keep. They need a variety of food and more than just brine because brine does not have much nutritional value, LS and LS is good when keeping seahorses because then you will have coepods, one of the seahorses main foods. They can be difficult to feed so it is good to have lots of coepods in your tank, they also like brine, and zooplankton. They like lots of plants and feather dusters to hang onto and they should have no other fish in the tank with them because since seahorses are very slow eaters the fish would eat it all first also fish will pick on the horses, they are ome fish that can be kept with them like scooter blennys or mandarins, pipe fish too, but they can get kind big. You can go to www.seahorse.org to find out more, they have a message board all for seahorses. Resesrch them a lot before buying.

Can you keep them in a big reef tank, if the few fishes you have do not eat copepods? I would like to eventually set up a seahorse tank, unless it's possible to keep them in my reef tank. I think a lot of people get into saltwater tanks because they want seahorses, only to find out they are one of the most difficult animals to keep! LOL! I admit it......that was me. I'm happy to start another tank though, as I think they are one of the coolest sea creatures out there! :D
