I have a 90 gal (LR/LS), a few fish... my 1st corals are a few polyps from a purchased piece LR.... I run 24/7 two Fluval 405 with foam pads/carbon bags/ bioballs/... my water (with WC) is pristine clear... all params are OK.
My question (after having read the above): Should I phase down the carbon?... I'd like to explore more on corals!
Like I said... everything is "perfect" - as of now - even with my heavy carbon filtration.
You know a lot about it.
Pls, your opinion.. Thanks.
(By the way.... you helped me a lot with my T5 vs MH question)... You probably saw my post to moderator (why can't I e-mail a helpful member) - You were secifically IDed -
If you're OK with it, pls giveme your e-mail address.
Mine is ferrailleur @comcast.net
Thanks

Hey yeah I just saw it not sure what you mean the thread topic was changed?
anyway my email is Mickadee @hotmail.com and I dont mind people emailing me just put SWF or something in the subject line so that I know its from here you know te spam and all LOL just remove the spaces.
the admin has disabled the email function because they want the majority of the topics to be discussed on the board so it helps everyone out with problems they may have and it actually helps to reduce spam for the end user.
I would still phase out the carbon its good to use once a month for a couple of days to clarify the water but beyond that it can turn into trouble its like a sponge it will only hold so much before it will start to release what it has collected and leave the other stuff too. once it collects and starts to release the stuff it has collected the water quality will fall drastically causeing the fish to stress and can contribute to other diseases.
