Carbon... I think I messed up

Long story short, hubby finally installed the Lifereef filter cylinders to the larger tank's sump according to instructions. I rinsed the carbon well and put the cylinder in the system. About 15 minutes after I could tell how dark the water in the tank was. I guess no matter how well I rinsed the carbon, there was still some that clouded up the tank. Will the water clear up, is there anything I can do to help this? Will this cause problems?
We've run the tank without any carbon, phosphate removers etc, only macro algae in the refugium for 7 months now and it was time to finish up the whole installation.
Hubby also installed a 2 cylinder carbon and phosphate reactor combo from Bulk Reef Supply to the 75g tank and that water didn't turn dark. It's actually very, very clear.

Thanks Jerry!
Everybody was doing good in the tank, I kept checking throughout the day. Evening feeding showed me a bunch of really hungry inhabitants, RBTA was out hungry too. The carbon cylinder was added around 3pm.
