I went to one of my LFS and I was talking to one of the guys about the difference between a carbon filter and purigen. I have been running a carbon filter but I never really knew when to change it out, it was always a guessing game for me. He said if I use purigen you just replace it when it turns brown. Does anybody have any pros or cons on either of these? I use to run purigen on my freshwater tank years back, but I dont remember too much about it.
