If you can get in and work under a good Master it can be a rewarding career if you stick with. Oh but you will pay your due's as a plumbing apprentice lol. HVAC might be a slightly quicker way to better money and working on your own if you're willing to put yourself through some classes and get yourself certified. It really just depends who you work for and what type of work you do in a particular trade which is going to depend on how much money you;re going make. Stay away from building maintenance dude. I did it for a little bit when I first moved down here out of necessity, but I used it to get my foot in the door doing HVAC work. It's good experience, but you're never really going to make good money doing hotel or apartment work. Factories, refineries, and government work doing maintenance pay decent, but that's about it.
