I went to my local Home Depot tonight in search of this Caribbean Aragonite playsand but they were not able to find it in their system. Does anyone have a pic of a upc or sku number or if you have the number can you post it so I can find out if they can order me some. Thanks in advance
Or if I cannot find this I would be looking for southdown. Anyone got a upc and location where I could find this.
Thanks,
Nick

SKU # 578-819
This was the sku number for Southdown, but now that it is Old Castle I'm not sure of what the sku or upc is. Perhaps someone could look at a bag that they are hording and post the upc number, that way next store you call they can do a store to store query to see if they can locate any.

Well checked my local Home Depot this morning with no luck. The closest around here is Wisconsin but they have non in stock and its a high demand item. I wonder why. They have no intentions of getting it around here either. I will check Lowes or Menards next

go to walmart's outdoor section, look for the "play sand" you will see it's made by oldcastle, and fizzes away when you add vinegar.

I was afraid you'd say they only carry it on the eastcoast. Some people over here want this sand for their children to play in com'n get some of this sand in the midwest "that expression goes out to the distributors" Hope they get some around here soon

I went to Walmart today to buy some more stain for my stand and check out the sand that they have. There were tons of them over here (West coast) :) . I am sure they probably have it in all Walmart.

I can check the bag later today, but it should be pure white in color and clearly says "made for walmart by oldcastle sand co." or something to that effect. It didn't get any more detailed than that on the bag. It's not as fine grain as the Southdown was, but I tested it twice. 1 tble spoon sand, 2oz of vinegar, after an hour atleast 50% of the sand had dissolved and was still slowly fizzing.

everyone talks about the fizz.... well as soon as u put the sand in the vinegar.... does it immediately begin to fizz?? and is it quite noticeable??
ive been going around to places and i would take a little bit of sand and put it in my hand and then pour a few drops of vinegar on it.... is this a good way to test it.... and like i said b4 will i be able to tell right away if it is good sand....
i found some sand that was very white and seemed pure and it said it was sterilized but when took a little in my hand and all that it didn't fizz atleast not right away....
