carpet coral?

went to my LFS last week to treat myself to a new piece of coral (ended up coming away with 3) and i bought what the salesperson called a carpet coral. its a deep reddish brown and sort of looks like a colt coral except it is very dense and low. sorry i dont know how to post a pic. need to get my friends daughter over soon to show me how. anyone know what it might be?

As far as your coral, maybe a Tongue/Slipper Coral (Polyphillia sp.)? I've seen them labeled as carpet coral, although it doesn't sound like what you are describing....
