Not brine - never brine. I would suggest silversides if you can find them for a carpet. Or mysis, krill, even some cocktail shrimp or clam from the deli.

If oyam1 got it on Monday then it could not have been in his/her tank for 30-40 days now could it? Therefore it must have been at the LFS tank for 30-40 days.
