Carribean Live Rock

Hello,
I was curious if anyone had an opinion on Carribean Live Rock. My friends all have either Fiji, Tonga, or Marshall Island so I want something different. I read that the Carribean gets more colors than the others, but is more plate like. What does this mean exactly? Is it like flat plates built on top of one another? Any input would be helpful.

Is this what is meant by "plate-like"? Looks cool, I'll have to get some.

Plate like are the shelves that I made. Caribean rock is the most plate like rock.
