Clean, warm water and soap, I like to then swab with Hydrogen Peroxide, then wipe down with alcohol then neosporin then band aid.

My moms cat had a litter of kittens. They were in a kennel. One of the kittens got caught in a ribbon they were playing with. I reached it to get the kitten loose and momma didnt like it. It was eaither let the kitten get hurt or me get bit. It was both arms. It wasnt her fault, she was just protecting her babies.

If it is a domestic cat, make sure it has had its shots....If you can't get to the dr. to have it looked at before Monday, soak it in some peroxide...and use antibiotic ointment on it

Cat Scratch Fever (or bite) is a potentially serious situation, and a tetanus shot does nothing for it - tetanus is a virus - you're dealing with a bacteria here.
I'm not trying to be funny - antibiotics are most likely in order. Worst case scenario is Septacemia (i.e. blood poisoning.)

Whenever I get bitten or scratched I make sure the animal is up to date on it's rabies immunization then make up a warm epsom salt soak. I would soak it for 5-10 minutes 3-4x daily for the first 2 days. If I saw any evidence of 'red streaking' up and down from the site of the bite I would see my physician.

If it looks infected with red streaks starting to form, its time to see a doctor. Even if the its just at the site, red, buffy or pusy, warm to the touch, you probably should give a call to your primary care physician.
There is always the possibility of cat scratch disease. Google it.

Take it from someone that got the crapola chewed out of his hand last winter by his cat during the move. You need to go to either a prmpt care or ER in your area. Your kitty will be in QT for 10 days unless you can prove a current Rabies shot in the last year. Also you will be put on both an Oral antiboditic and a cream one for the bites. My cat decided to play chew toy on my right hand and made it swell up like a PUFFER fish for a week.
