cataracts

I had to go away for 2 weeks on business, I left my wife with good instructions on feeding, filtration, lighting... I called home a couple of times and she said my fish looked sick, I asked what she ment... long story short I came home and 1/2 of my fish had died. It looks like the remaining fish have cataracts on their eyes, and several have lost coloration in spots. The tops of my rocks where pretty dusty with something, I completely disassembled my tank, rinsed everything off... What caused this??? I have to leave in a couple of days and I would like to get this under control before I leave again

Yes, has your wife been complaining about you spending more time with your tank than with her? Maybe she's hoping you will quit your hobby now.

On a more serious note, post in the disease and treatment forums, and maybe Beth could help you out. (Also, be sure to list all your water parameters and every detail about the symptoms you can see to make things go quicker).
