Catching Hippo Tang

i've been trying to catch my hippo tang. does anyone have any suggestions on how to catch her? she's pretty smart...so now that she's seen the net once, she'll only come out of the rocks alittle bit.

how bigs the tank. you have to remove all the LR. i hope that this blue tang isn't in the 30gallon on your profile.

The way i catch fish is-- I have a piece of plexi glass, the width and height of tank. Kinda like a tank divider. I move just enough rock from one end, to fit the glass in, leave it up a few inches, get the fish to go under, then push the glass down, now the fish is in a little space, and easy to catch.

you could try those fish trap things. i have never tried it but its worth a try. and teresa thats a good plan i should try that sometime

whenever I need to catch my hippo I just chase her with the net till she darts into a rock. then I take the rock out of the tank and put it into my QT then add some food to the QT. when she coes out for the food I snatch the rock back
