EGG CRATE!!?!??!!??!??!?!?!?

i have 4 cats 2 hairy 2 all white short hair, i have NEVER EVER had a fish in my aquarium... even though i have only had it for a day

Thanks, I was wanting to know because I have a glass lid now but some time next week I will be getting a 305 W Halide and I know they get hot. So I am going to lose the lid.

would if be ok to use one of those like lizard tops. the ones with like made out of screening?

most of them are made of metal wich will rust over the saltwater if its the fabric type it will work but the problem again is rust from the outer rim of the top. IMO it would be best to wrap the eggcrate with a fabric type sceen material.

i have heard of the plastic supports melting with MH lighting,,,wont the egg creat do the same??? might be a stupid question just though i would through it out there...
