I've used caulerpa mexicana and grape caulerpa off and on since I have been in aquaria. I've never had it "go sexual" on me, ever.

It's long and flat. I've looked up pics & it looks like it, but it appears that there are several kinds that are flat.

It could be Caulerpa brachypus but I am guessing its Caulerpa taxifolia
