it can get to be hard to control, but it is also good for nutrient export, whihc helps to control water conditions and also is found to be a minor delicasy for some fishes

caulpera will need some-what good water quality. they can' t handle strong lightings or they will turn white and die. As long as you don't have any herbivirous fish in your tank constantly nipping on caulpera, they will grow very well without any extra efforts.
