Causes of sudden sand and glass algae bloom

Any ideas? Just randomly happened to me and I don dont know why. I'm still feeding half a cube a day this hasn't changed for 1 week, used to be 1/4 but surely my current amount for 6 fish and a shrimp is still sensible. water parameters are 0 nitrates 0 phosphates, nothing does just did a livestock and snail check. Macro is fine not dying. Any ideas?

I washed filter sponges 3 days ago. Sand goby sifts my sand for me

Oh sorry dad just told me as I hit post, he was playing around trying to figure out how my timers worked and they broke and the reef lights were on all night and till now been on for 28 hours...that explains it...

Haha sorry about the post everyone.

Sounds like you got him interested and he wants to help..My son saw my new tank remembering old times He Bought a 75 gal and wants to go right into SW.......Going to enjoy helping him and told him to join this forum and use the name Son of one-fish......Enjoy....
