CBS preditory?

has anyone witnessed a cbs attack and kill another shrimp for food? came home from the movies tonight to see my cbs munching on 1 of my peppermint shrimp. i did not witness any attack and i know that the cbs can be territorial but they have been in the tank together for a month without any problems and that includes times when they were right next to each other. or is it more likely that the pepper died of something else and the cbs was just the lucky first to find him?

Yes, they can be, especially with other shrimp. If you watch a CBS carefully, they'll take a stab at anything in range.

My CBS has killed Camel shrimp and ate it. But It lives with 3 Cleaner shrimps for more than half a year with no problems.
