The middle of my chocolate chip star looks all mushy. Never seen this before. Just wondering if this is normal or is it about to die? Thanks

Mushy is always bad in a star.

If you are talking about something you see on the undersurface of the star, when it is crawling on the glass, and is kinda yellowish mucous looking...it might very well be its stomach. This is normal. Does it otherwise eat and behave normally?
