Chaeto dying. Questions?

I've had this chaeto for a little over a week. In some areas it's gotten deep deep green. And i'm noticing in others it's starting to die. Like some strands turning clear. It's in my fuge with 65w 50/50 power compacts with I believe 10k. Do i need different bulbs? I'm slightly confused as to why it'd be dying.

i currently have some macro but not any cheato, but mine turns white in parts that are growing. that might not be it just thought i would throw it out there.

maybe too much light? i have mine under 5100k spiral power compact (looks like a flood lamp), and it's growing like mad

really? I thought more light would be beneficial. hmm. i may be going at this wrong. thanks!
