chaeto question

i just bought some chaeto, do i need to do anything or just drop it in my fuge and let it do its own thing?

nothing, just drop it into your fuge, makes sure you have good light and watch it grow. I would let it grow until it fills your fuge and then start harvesting half of it at regular intervals.

right now i have one of those swirly bulbs rated at like 5500k and 9w on about a ten gallon tank. is that enough or do i need more

That light should be enough

I had a 9 watt light on my cheato and it shrank in size. Now I use a 50 watt light and its a weed.

Strong water flow is very important to chaeto. Make sure you have strong water movement over it.

I have 36w 10k 6500k on a 5g fuge,, JUST ENOUGH!

as far as water flow what would be a good gph should i just let more water go to the fuge and less to the sump or should i add a powerhead?

I've found large inflow from tank works best.
