I have chaetomorpha algae in my sump i have little clear grape looking things growing from my Chaetomorpha what is it ? i also want to know in my sump the algae on top of the water is lite brown and the algar under the water is dark green is this ok?
I have a 20'' 28 watt 50/50 bulb in a model# 53000 light from Aqualight from coralife. :help:

those clear grape looking things without a pic i would say are pieces of caulpera started to either A. grow or B. go sexual , which if that is the case you dont want to happen because it will release nitrates into your system

I would agree but he clearly stated he has CHAETO and not CAULERPA. and CHAETO does not go ASEXUAL

I have the same discoloration of my chaeto. I am cycling my tank and have already added it. Did I goof?

i found iut when i got my chaeto from fs she keep caulerpa in the same tank so i did have a little caulerpa mixed in . i took all the caulerpa out and only put my chaeto back into my sump . i also upgraded to a 26 watt 10k bulb. some of my chaeto is turning light brown on top . am i good or do i need more light?
