I have heard several others complaining of the same issue, it is like salt creep that forms inside of the venturi tube and airline all that was needed to clean it was to just dip the end of the hose in some hot water and let the venturi suck it through and it would clear the blockage 90% of the time. I wouldn't notice that it was blocked until it would stop skimming which was after a few days of reduced performance. Don't know if I am just lucky
I also have gotten calcium buildup inside the venturi when I was dosing Kalkwasser into the same chamber as my skimmer that was a little more difficult to clean since I had to remove the pump and soak it in vinegar for a couple hrs.
