Ok, so I was gonna do this:
2 ocellaris clowns
2 yellowtail damsels
2 pj cardinals
1 firefish
but now I want to do this
1 ocellaris clown (already have)
2 yellowtail damsels (already have, would get rid of them if I could catch them)
1 pj cardinal (already have)
1 firefish
1 black cap jawfish
I need suggestions for what else I can add. I want some more colorful things, preferably not replicating the colors I already have. Any suggestions?

How big is your tank? As long as you have the DAMsels, they, not you, will determine what you can keep.

i dont know if i would go with the black cap jawfish. although they are very beautiful fish, they would outgrow a 10 gallon tank rather quickly (unless you plan on having one of your larger tanks set up by the time it gets too big). they grow to a size of 3-5 inches and the minimum recommended tank size is 30 gallons. as a rule of thumb generally you want to keep it at about 1-2 fish per gallon however in a nano style tank you could probably keep 3/4 depending on the size and aggressiveness of the fish. why go with a ten gallon? you can get a 20 gallon tank at ***** for $14 (i got one for 11.99) or probably even cheaper off of craigslist (often free at that size when people are spring cleaning). and im sure your filtration you plan on using on a ten gallon tank would be adequate for a 20 gallon tank. by the way, clown gobies are awesome fish! i have a yellow clown goby that is about 3/4 of an inch long and loves to perch on my magnafloat and watch everyone else in the tank. (especially keeps an eye on my 4.5 inch tomato clown...im afraid he might end up as a light snack!

Jstdv8, i love your powder blue tang..they are one of my favorite fish. sadly my powder brown which was a year and a half old died a few weeks ago to an unknown cause. i think i am going to make the best of this situation and replace him with a powder blue.

Get determined and get them out. You can do it! Soon you won't even be able to put your hand in the tank. They will bite you and draw blood. Better now than later, when you have a tank full of other fish you really don't want.
So get rid of those damsels and get the fish you like to start with.

Oh sorry! My tank is a 30, and I knowdamsels usually get mean, but I was told these are usually pretty tame
I really like their colors, and I REALLY don't want to tear my tank apart to catch them, plus I have nowhere to take them. I've talked to my "LFS" (Pet Supplies Plus)((They suck)) and they "are not able to take returns on fish which have not perished" So if I were to get them out of the tank, they would only die, and I can't justify killing an animal, no way.
