Changing Color

I have a 3 stripe damsel and I was wondering if it is normal if it changes color. Mine at night changes to a greyish color in the area I circled, even the white turns to a grey and you wouldn't even know that it had white on the front. Is it normal for my damsel to change color?

That is normal. I have 3 green chromis damsels and at night when the lights start to go out they change color to blend in with the rocks. Don't listen to anyone talking about damsels, I love my 3 but the green chromis are the more docile of the damsel family.

its ok, im pretty sure that all fish turn darker when the lights are out

I have a 3 year old one and he does it all the time when someone walks up to the tank or at night. Why does everyone hate damsels so much?
