Changing the carbon bags

How often should I be changing the carbon bags in my 12 gallon nano?

carbon loses it effectivesness after a month is what i have been told

if you can swing it, when it comes time to replace the carbon, try chemi-pure. Its pricier than activated carbon, but seems to work very well.
