I have a 75 gallon that is in its 3rd week of cycling, there are 4 damsels in it, I have 20lbs of live rock and an emperor filter with 2 carbon loaded cartrige and 2 bio wheels is this ok
Tang,
I run dual Emporer 400's that each have 4 carbon cartriges, 2 of them with floss. I pulled out the 2 that do not have floss.
SWNEWBIE,
I am no expert but I run 2 Emporer 400s on a 55...you might need an additional 400.
Adding "BacterPlus" or any other bacteria in a bottle will reduce the ammonia fast, but I don't think that's what you're looking for when cycling a new tank. If you're wanting to track the cycle with your test kits - you will get readings all over the place.
IMO - I still don't think this stuff is good to use.
Live rock - yes
Live sand - yes
Raw shrimp - yes
Damsel if you must - yes
Patience - absolutely
Quick "Instant" bacteria - nope - don't like it - never will - just my opinion though
