So Bioreefer, you have three or so old tanks you aren't using, and are looking for a big one, or you just happen to be lucky enough to have a tank for every type of fish :) (envious). The 46 might work? I basically want the stand, tank, glass top, and a canopy if exists, doing the berlin method filtration w a skimmer? Would love to talk to you about if. Email me at goldstripemaroon@hotmail.com.
Interested in the 46 bowfront. Can you post/email some pics of it? What brand? A brief rundown of its history. A price you want for it? Thanks SWEET.

huh? German fan. Might have to explain that one, and I already have a femto tank next to the computer monitor. I have the big 75 FOWLR, and the little tiny guy, and I need a medium size reef tank (LIKE YOUR 46 BOWFRONT :)) Seriously, explain the german thing, lol, and send me the info I requested when you have time, because you have sparked my interest. Ok. Sleep. Class.
Ok. Had to edit, its late, and I am sleepy, but duh, BERLIN system . . .man . . my bad

Nothing in this hobby comes cheap. My fish only is 300 without fish in it yet.I have tried the cheap concept. Just remember this one thing...The cheaper you do it now the more it will cost you later.

shep I disagree as a poor man in this hobby only thing I spend top dollar is on lights b/c I can't make a better light for my sump was made out of rubbermaid container with kraft singles filled with carbon and ceramic rings and live sand and a mag 5 for my filter probably had maybe 75 dollars in the thing with that rubbermaid container could of been for 150 gal tank easy and for my light found an old street light with a 500 watt ballast in it I just used a 250 watt MH and two actinic blubs the whole set up cost me about 210 dollars with outstanding results and I believe can go cheaper than that with decent results. this was my frag tank I will say under the tank wasn't pretty nor above but bottom line is I got the results I need. that was for a 46gal frag setup.been in this hobby for few years now learnd a couple of things. but bottom line it worked for me maybe it wouldn't work for you. :p shep your right about one thing do not buy cheap tanks perfecto make an ok freshwater but IMO do not trust it for saltwater.

I love the saying "pay me now or pay me later", cause its almost always true that in the long run you get what you pay for
