I have been rinsiin gmy chaeto off in reg tap water for years. I keep it in a a variety of fuges and containers and often times it gets loaded up with particulate matter, so I just rinse it all off under the tap, shake it a bit and pitch it back in the fuges or tanks etc. Chaeto is pretty darn hard to kill or hurt.
