A type of seaweed....a macro algea.. many people grow it in a fuge to absorb nutriants from the water so those same nutriants dont promote nusance algeas growing in their main tanks...
It's a type of marcoalgea that's often used in 'fuges as a natural filter. (i think it reduces nitrates) I also think it competes with undesirable algea. Sorry IDK more.
