i have a 100g tank my fish have ick, i set up a 10g with DT water and a cheap HOB filter and heater i have put most of my LR and hermits in theit, the 10 is completely filled with rock, will this be to much of a bio load on the cheap filter? and would it be ok to add about 8 snails in their(it the only place to put them)? finally the remainder of my rock i wanted to put in a rubbermaid bin with airstones....do i need a heater and filter if their is only LR in their? temp is around 65-80 outside where i live(so. cal)...thanks

im starting to think it may be clownfish disease b/c it is on my tomato and it killed my flame and purple psuedo and when they were dying their flesh looked sort of raised with white spots but not like little tiny dots all over and my blue devil damsel, flame hawk and GS maroon have no sign of the disease any thoughts and would hypo kill clownfish disease or would i have to do foralin baths?

Clownfish disease aka brooklynella does not look like white dots. It is a peeling of the slime coat and is stringy looking. The larger spots you saw were likely adult ich. Please look in the diseased fish FAQ for examples of Brook. As for your rocks they should have a heater if the temp gets down to 60 at night. They do not need a filter if you have a spare powerhead to throw in there. They have to have water movement or you will get dead spots.

LR is a biological filter and hermits/snails barely add to a bioload. You will be fine. For the LR, keep it around 78. You can't let it get too cold because of the organisms on it.
