True.. but still would it help water quality and maybe prevent some die off?

it might, but one of the ideas in curing live rock is to allow dieoff of undesirables and stuff that is already in death throes from shipping out of water (sponges most notably, peeww). Put the Chemi-pure in after the cycle before you add any livestock right before your first water change.

ur never guna get rid of everything in the rock.... there are so many different hitchickers that ull get lost trying to figure them out...
in my tank i have some of those things which i dont know what they are lol but they will shoot up detrius or whatever it is out of a hole about 2 inches off the rock like a projectile then the current washes it away
if the rock is already pre-cured why re cure it??
when ever i bought pre cured rock i just put it in my tank i havent had any problems doing that but ive added no more than 15 lbs at a time in my 100 gallon tank and i have about 150lbs now

pre-cured rock still undergoes a cycle after shipping form the "pre-cure facility" to your lfs or home. Its less of a cycle, but it will cycle nonetheless. And that may have been some sort of invert in the rock, probably nothing to worry about, unless its a mantis shrimp, then you may have an excuse to start a nano dedicated to it. :)

if you are trying to hurry your cycle, get some of the turbo start from any LFS...they keep it in a cooler. I would still wait a few weeks to add anything...butI went from .25 ammonia after 3 weeks to 0 overnight after adding it. should help with the rock....Good luck...

Well i ran some test today and my ammonia is already <1 so i got a couple turbo snails and they seem to be doing great. week cycle? well i already had about 60lbs of live sand since nov. just didnt have money to spend on rocks till income tax. maybe the live sand helped it along.. plus it seems i have had very little die off.

Less than 1? Anything over 0 is potentially bad. I would hold off putting any livestock of any sort in there, personally. Could be money wasted, IMO
