Nice!!! Ask your school on who we could contact to arrange something. I think the school in town here would allow the same thing. If we make it a community event, it should be quite successful. We should have plenty of people to help newbies start a tank. The local public cable channels would be good for advertisements and many community events are advertised there. It has to have some sort of organization. Otherwise, you will have 5 people with many frags and 20 with nothing...or they all have the same frags...do you see what I mean? It would be a waiste to put something together, and have this happen. With some organization of people definitely coming to the meet, and what types of frags they will have available, and what types they are looking for. This will make the lists more of a variety. I can put the list on my site, and maybe get more advertisements from the Shedd Aquarium. What you think?

wow yeah that all really sounds great. tomorrow on monday in out ffa meeting (this agriculture thingy) ill try to work something out and let u know where we stand when i get home. i had the same feeling about 5 with frags and 20 with none (i dont have too much to trade either) and i like your ideas. o and where is says i work at the lfs it was animal krackers on 115th and kedzie but that was a while ago and my mom made me quit because of school

but i wasnt happy with his reef setup anyways and he didnt listen to me when i critisized his "techniques" anyways so o well 4 him. now he has someone that knows nothing workin it and its quite funny to see what he says and does lol

Just curious, what types of frags do people have and/or are looking for? This would help for those looking to trade.

Hey guys, it seems very few people are interested in actually meeting and getting free and traded corals. The problem with Alsip is it is a CRUSE from the N.W. Suburbs. Searcher offered to have it at his place (290 & Harlem) but never comitted.
So we try again, we will get this going! MARCH 12 is a Sat. two weeks from now, we will meet - 3p.m. I am sure I have enough finger leather for everyone. My frag tank is going and soon I will have some frog spawn. I've got an urchant if anyone wants it and my hammer coral will be ready to frag soon.
Again, a more central location would be perferred, I'm sure we can put somthing together.
IF EVERYONE IS O.K. WITH ALSIP THAN LETS DO IT
BUT WE NEED TO BE SURE EVERYONE IS WILLING TO
MAKE THE DRIVE..... EVERYONE PLEASE RESPOND!

It sounds like you didn't meet today...I was just coming on to check this site and ask about it. Is there any way to frag out brain coral? I have had a shrimp dig into a brain coral and the lobe floated around the tank. I had noticed it before ran out the door for work. I came home, and it was gone. It looked like I could frag it out, because it was puffed up like nothing was wrong with it. If so, I want to try a nice size pink open brain that I have had for the past year.

Other than that, I have a couple green polyps. I do have a lot of young feather dusters, but do not want to risk digging them out...would be too risky.

there is a great bar called the village tavern on wise road in schaumburg. plenty big enough and I know the owner. also, there is a place in hanover park called the prairie station saloon that I can get a private room for. let me know cause this sounds pretty cool. hanover park is 4 minutes from schaumburg......
