Chocolat chip star climbs inside filter

I keep finding my chocolat ship star inside my filter. I take him out stick him back in the tank and he go back to the filter. has anyone else had this problem. anyone come up with a solution I have a whisper 40

he could be looking for food if you use the filter pad it holds a lot of wastes that scavangers eat. on how to keep him out not sure mine kept going in I got tired of fishing him out and after a few days he moved back in the tank. maybe yours will to ..

If it's looking for food try feeding it a piece of shrimp from the store. maybe that will keep him out of the filter.I know our Choc.chip loved the shrimp.

Careful
Choco stars are not really scavangers.
When I had one it ate my brittle star.
And every night worked at my mushroom corals.

I finally put it in my sump untill the next trip to the lfs.
